Moved without a forwarding address

If you went to the blog at the old "leesburgyarnshop" location and found it gone, that is because I accidentally allowed the leesburgyarnshop.com domain registration to expire and someone bought it up before I had realized what had happened.

It looks like it was purchased by someone who buys expiring domain names in order to be able to make money by selling them back to the people who forgot to renew them.  Although I would have liked to make a smooth transition to a new web address, I just could not bring myself to pay ransom for the old domain name.  I hope that those of you who care are able to find my new home.

It took a while for me to get situated with the new site because I have been having some health problems this summer.  I just had surgery this week and it looks like it was a huge success and this will soon all be behind me.  Yay!!!  As soon as I am off of the pain meds, I will break out the mojitos to celebrate!

Fortunately, I was able to copy the old blog entries over.  I recently discovered that one of the free patterns from the old blog had been entered in the Ravelry pattern database, and has become fairly popular.  I wanted to be able to restore it so that people could still get to the pattern.   (It is the Reversible Lace Stitch Scarf, in case you are wondering.)

So this is the new blog home.  I will continue to write about my knitting adventures, and probably digress into other topics more than I have in the past.  I am still a little unsure about this whole blog thing now that it is no longer the Chez Casuelle shop blog.

Until now, I have made it point to stick to the topic of knitting since that is what brought y'all here to begin with and it seemed a bit vain on my part to assume that anyone would be interested in my observations/rantings on other subjects.

However, I do have two of the smartest, sweetest, silliest dogs in the world:

Marilyn (aka Her Royal Corgi Highness) and Jerry Lee (100% Border Collie, with all that entails).  I've been thinking that I should occasionally share some of their adventures, like the Stargate that Jerry Lee is building out back behind the old chicken coop...
