Wow! If I do say so myself ...


I just finished to body of the Autumn in Taos, which seems to have become my life's work.  The body is knit all in one piece and then you sew up the shoulder seams:

The sleeves come next; then the crochet finish along the front and neckline; and then weaving the millions of ends.  I did weave in an awful lot of ends as I went, but there are still very many of them, as you can see.

This is by far the most ambitious knitting project that I have ever undertaken, and it is so exciting to see it actually turning out.  It's not perfect.  I have certainly learned a great deal that will make my next modular project better.  There are a couple of squares that will require a bit of embroidery to correct some flaws.  Nevertheless, I love it!!!
