Prism Book 43: Spirited Spring. Now everyone can peek.

Prism has posted the pictures of all of the designs in their new spring collection, Prism Book 43, on their web site.  So go take a peek!

One of the things that I realized after seeing the new garments in person, being tried on by real people, is that the pictures not only don't do justice to the colors and textures, they also don't show how beautifully the Prism designs fit normal people (as opposed to Barbie Doll mannequins).  Knitters of all shapes tried on the garments at the trunk show, and they looked even better on the person than on the hangers.

I fell in love with so many of the designs, but I have been dreaming of this one in particular ever since I saw it:

I tried to put it out of my mind, but I just couldn't.  Yesterday I broke down and asked Hanks to order it for me.  In Tumbleweed!  I love Tumbleweed.

Many knitters, and perhaps even yarn shop owners, don't know that Prism will put together kits for any design that uses their yarn, including patterns in books and magazines other than their own pattern books.  So if you really want to make a Prism design in a particular colorway, Hanks (or your LYS if they carry Prism) can special order a kit for you.  If the design requires several different yarns and you aren't sure which colors will coordinate best with your main colorway, Laura Bryant at Prism will make the selection for you.

Another one of my favorite designs from the book is the modular Scallops Tee:

Yes, I have definitely been bitten by the modular knitting bug.

I believe that Prism will start shipping the pattern book this week, so Hanks should have it in stock soon.
